The point was that people in Ireland are much more disenfranchised with the church than people in the US are. We think we have huge problems with simply getting young people to think about church, but in truth we're no were close to seeing the indifference that the church is shown in Ireland.<br /><br />Hence, the "I kissed the ground I walked on comment."god googlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08406526986427583673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19680942.post-51487641121992259082009-05-27T08:44:56.127-04:002009-05-27T08:44:56.127-04:00for the comment "When I got back to the United Sta...for the comment "When I got back to the United States I literally kissed the ground I walk on."<br /><br />What, is the US so pure, so holy, that such abuse never happens, is it my imagination that some US Church's have handed out miilions, and tried to cover up the abuse like the Church in Ireland did? And the suspicion towards the Clergy and their "standoffish" approach to the public is much the same here in the US. The Church is the Church is the Church, the "We're a Christian Nation" attitude makes no differanceUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01092953711024770368noreply@blogger.com
